At 109 acres, Kopachuck State Park features over a mile of waterfront, with sandy beaches nestled alongside the vistas of Henderson Bay. Visitors to the park can brave the half-mile boats-only trek to Cutts Island (also known as Deadman's Island), a minuscule outcropping that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area, especially as the sun sinks over the horizon. Complete with a campground the park is located a five-minute drive west from downtown Gig Harbor, just north of Carr Inlet.
Open daily 8:00 a.m. - dusk.
Free entry. Overnight rates vary, call for details.
